CHARLES KUMI – (EOY 2019)

Mr. Charles Kumi entered GSTS in 1971 and completed his O-Levels in 1976. At GSTS, he was in Kennedy House and a member of the Cadet Corps. He went through the various ranks and ultimately became the School’s Cadet Sergeant Major in his final year.

Charles continued his education at Takoradi Polytechnic in 1976 where he obtained a Certificate in Ordinary Technician Diploma, Building & Civil Engineering (OTD) in 1979. He then obtained his undergraduate degree in Construction Management from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and his graduate degree in Management from the University of Maryland, University College.

Charles is the Owner, President & CEO of Kumi Construction Management Corporation, a Washington DC based engineering firm with a branch office in Baltimore, Maryland.
