Tetteh AbbeyquayeDr. Tetteh Abbeyquaye entered GSTS in 1984 and completed his O-levels in 1989. He then continued to the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School-Legon for his A-levels. At GSTS, Tetteh was in Einstein Hall, and a member of various societies including: the School Choir, the Photographic Society, the Scripture Union and the Cadet Corp. He also held several positions at GSTS including House Secretary, Sanitary Monitor and Cabin Monitor.

Tetteh received his BSc. (Honors) degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham in England and his PhD degree in genetics and molecular biology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He then did postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).
He is currently an Associate Professor at the Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester MA. GSTS has and continues to be an important part of Tetteh’s life. He attributes a lot to the training and discipline he received to this great school. In fact, several family members of Tetteh have also passed through GSTS. This includes his late brother Dr. Kojo P. Abbeyquaye, his uncle Mr. Semey Amegah and his cousins Mr. Fred Kobina Sam, Mr. Kojo Osei-Ghansah and Mr. Kojo S. Amegah.

Tetteh continues to give his time to the cause of GSTS. He was a founding member of the GSTS Alumni Association of North America and is currently, its General Secretary. Tetteh is also a movie producer and sits on the Board of the Pilot Scholars Program a non-profit that supports students in the Western Region of Ghana with scholarships and enrichment programs.
